It’s a fact of life that, sometimes, things don’t exactly go our way. There are many beliefs and rationale in regards to the more challenging events of our lives but, for one particular fifth-tier Nano named Kavelex, the concept of being zen has taken on a whole new meaning.
“Bad things? I say bring them on. The more the merrier, eventually. It all started a few months ago. There I was just minding my own business, descending a bit of a steep slope on a mountain side and my foot gave way. I took a pretty gnarly tumble and got beat up pretty bad but, after it happened, I weirdly felt I had somehow become a more elevated version of myself. Not only that, but I just looked at Verizia, the party Glaive and she felt it too. It was the weirdest thing. Later on, a creepy spider like thing got the jump on me and the same thing happened!! It had to be more than a coincidence. Every time something bad happens, I and someone else in my vicinity feel better for it.
I mean, I have tried resisting these things and, you’ll never believe this but, I feel worse afterwards. So, if being the whipping boy of destiny is going to help me reach my gain goals quicker then, let’s f***ing go. It really is for the greater good. The stronger I become, the better I can help my party and, if enough shitty things happen to me, the stronger they become too. And, in regard to the pain inflicted, I don’t know, after a while you don’t really mind it too much.
The bad news is that I can’t choose to injure or inconvenience myself as it won’t work. It has to be something that just happens. However, my theory is that if I manage to tempt fate enough, then it just might happen.
