Bard’s comedy set is so good it kills, literally

They say “he who laughs, lasts”. But what about when someone laughs so much they stop laughing… for good. This was the case at the Guffawing Griffin three nights ago. An open comedy night turned to tragedy that ended in multiple deaths. What was meant to be a fun evening of jokes and merriment turned into horrifying scenes as one comedian took things a bit too far.

The Guffawing Griffin has held open comedy nights weekly for well over a decade without incident. Granted, like all venues which serves good mead, there have been drunken belligerence but this particular punchline was less than funny.

The third act of the evening saw, travelling bard, Wally Glacase step up and start his 5 minute set. All was going well with your usual introductions and opening gags. However, someone in the crowd decided it would be a good idea to heckle the performer. This was ill-advised as Wally, unbeknownst to everyone present, is retired a high level adventurer. The audience member who thought themselves funny enough to shout out an interruption did not expect the retort. He was suddenly struck down with a string of insults directed at them and their entire lineage. He died Immediately.

The problem didn’t end there as Glacase was deafened by the roaring laughter of the crowd and very much “in the zone”. He began doing an improvised audience participation bit without realising his own earth shattering power. By the time he was done , 18 people were dead whilst everyone around them were in fits of laughter.

Local authorities are on the look out for the suspect but are somewhat reluctant to do anything. Everyone is scared he may say something about their mums. I’ve heard of comedian’s killing it in their sets but this is ridiculous… Is this thing on?
